    March Update

First off, Happy St. Patrick's to any soul that reads this today. Patrick was a true saint.

I've been insanely busy since my last post.

In January Joel, myself, Stephen Casson and Luke Collin drove down to San Antonio (as stated in previous post) for the San Antonio Independent Christian Film Makers Academy and Festival. We had an awesome time down there and we were able to network with a lot of Christian filmmakers.

    Joel and Kirk Cameron

Nathanial Bluedorn, Stephen Casson, Jeff and Audrey King and Joel at the Academy

Tucker MacDonald, myself, Joel and Luke Collin

February and thus far in March I've been really busy with my graphic design business. I've really gone in the direction of logo design and I've had a hard time keeping up with all the work. It's been amazing to see God's blessing on the business. He is an amazing, faithful provider. Most of my clients are International. You can see some of my business work on my website: www.siahdesign.com

    Random thoughts:
I was reading 'USA Today' a couple days ago and came across an article titled, "Psychics make a fortune during uncertain economic times" and it was explaining how soothsayers and fortune tellers have been making a fortune during the recession as they were worried about their financial future. I thought of the story of Saul and how he consulted a soothsayer to inquire about his future and how much that grieved God. Reading the article really made me grateful that we have an all faithful Lord that we know holds the future and that we don't have anything to fret about.

    Upcoming:
We are planning another eastern tour starting in April. You can see our schedule here. If you out in the area please feel free to contact us if you would like to set up a concert! We are really excited about it but we would appreciate your prayers. Sometimes it seems our family is really under attack right before a tour.

    In Christ,

    Josiah

  • Heading to San Antonio

Just a quick postie. Not much time for Xanga lately.

Joel, Myself, Luke Collin and Stephen Casson will be starting the trek to the San Antonio Film Festival tomorrow. We are all really excited about it. Should be awesome. The first part of the week is for the academy and the second half for the festival.

We would really appreciate your prayers for safety while we drive. Its a long trip. :) Also be praying God's blessing on the whole conference. Its really exciting to see the push for Christian media in our culture.

We're planning on leaving tomorrow and getting home on the 14th.

    Thanks!

  • Ton of Family Camp Pics Etc

Family camp was such an awesome time. It was so encouraging to see many godly families and catching a vision for this generation. It was so nice to have so much informal time where you could just visit or do whatever you need.

The volleyball tournament was so awesome. (congrats Denhollander team)

    Some volleyball:

It was really scary the first night though when at 3:00 AM in the morning we heard a loud bang in our cabin. Little Hannah-Grace had fell off the top bunk. I ran downstairs and held her for a while and it was really scary as she wasn't really responding at first. Thankfully after a while she started to answer our questions. In the morning mom and dad took her to the hospital and found out she had a broken collarbone. The next evening several people from camp all gathered around her and prayed for her. That really meant a lot to me. She is one of the sweetest little girls ever. She is doing much better now. She still has to take it easy now.

    My beautiful sisters in Golden:

    Some jamming:

I really enjoyed the music night on Sunday. I love seeing families make music together. :)

Here are some pics from music night:

And here are some pics of families eating at their table. :)

On the last night a couple dozen of us pulled off a all nighter. I had never done one before. :) It took me about a week to get over it sleep wise. But it was worth it.

Pic of all the boys that were crazy enough to stay up all night :

As a lot of you probably know, on the way home about 20 km before Golden, BC we heard a loud clanking in our motor. We pulled over and it wouldn't start again. We called the tow truck. While waiting for the tow truck the Brauns, Funstons and Dirks all pulled over on their way by to see if we were OK. Especially blessed by the Dirks as they served us all some raspberry cheesecake ice cream they had bought that morning. They also helped take some of the kids into Golden. Once in Golden, we found out that our van's crank shaft had broke.

Ben Shonwise helped round up the parts we needed the next day. We ended up staying two night in Golden and then on Wednesday morning we drove the Denhollander's van back home. David Jr. along with Byron, Kyle and Josiah Mosher drove the van out to us on Tuesday night.

We all had to walk in the rain to find supper on Tuesday night. The whole family walking through Golden under one umbrella (LOL):

Hannah and I by our hotel:

The DenHollanders will bring our van out to Jared and Breanne's wedding and we'll trade back then. Thank you DenHollanders!

See a lot of ya'll on Saturday!

    Life... and Emz Birthday!

    Whoa, been crazy busy lately.

First off, today (Aug. 31st) is Emz 17th birthday! I'm so grateful to have her as a sister! She adds a lot to our family. I'm really grateful to have a sister I can talk to whenever I need to. :) Happy Birthday sis!

On another note... the last couple weeks we've been really busy working on Joel's "Little Jake & Harry" production. It has been going quite well. Joel has his new camera now and we're really happy with the quality.

This past week it was awesome to have Luke Collin's help as well as JD and Audrey King from Montana come up and help. We were able to get a lot of scenes done. We also had Shayne Hounsome's help the week before that. Thanks so much for your help everyone!!

    Here are some pics:

The most amazing boom pole operator: JD:

The last day the Kings were here we had the day off of filming so we went to Writing On Stone for some Frisbee golf:

I'm really looking forward to seeing the film once it's all edited and done!

I recently re-did my siahdesign.com site and more business has been flowing in. So I'm really grateful for that.

Really looking forward to seeing a lot of you at family camp.

God bless you all as you continue to serve Him everyday!
